Princess Kate Middleton's Signature Waves

Princess Kate Middleton always seems to have effortlessly perfect looking hair no matter the occasion. A child at home and her demanding role as the Duchess of Cambridge, clearly has not taken on a toll on the princess' hair. Her long brown locks always fall to either side of her face with bounce and volume.

To achieve Kate's look use Kevin Murphy's MOTION.LOTION on damp hair as it enhances the curl and maintains frizz without a heavy feel. Style with a curling iron, using medium sized sections in order to avoid tight curls and in turn achieving the loose wave affect. Finish off by using Kevin Murphy's ANTI.GRAVITY.SPRAY to add weightless volume and reinforce shine. and for an extra hold, spritz Kevin Murphy's SESSION.SPRAY.

Cascading Curls At The Emmy’s

Many of us watched the Emmy’s last week and while most were anticipating the award results, we were really paying attention to the hair. Our favorite look was the maxi dress and cascading curls combination that some of our favorite starlets wore. Gretchen Mol and Claire Danes chose an elegant deep side part while Heidi Klum and Christina Hendricks opted for off center parts. Click through for steps on how to create this glam read carpet look in your own hair.

Step: Towel dry hair to damp. From roots to ends, liberally apply KEVIN MURPHY UN.DRESSED.

Step: Blowdry hair, using a large round brush to create a playful, bouncy shape.

Step: Curl large sections of hair around a large barrel curling iron. Once all sections have been curled, brush them out to create loose, tumbling waves.

Step: Lastly, apply shine spray for a glossy finish.

Marilyn is the epitome of glamor

Marilyn is the epitome of glamor and an icon for generations of women. Dressed up or down, she is always chic. The fashion she wears here is casual –– although, even in a turtle neck, she manages to look ravishing –– and offers an every-day version of her iconic look. The voluminous wreath of soft blonde coils worn off the face provides an elegant option for shoulder-length cuts and can be easily adapted to longer styles. The height of the hair and the undulating movement of the waves provide a feminine, age-defying affect. To try this heroine look at home, read the simple steps below….

Step: Apply KMS Add Volume root and body lift to damp, clean hair from roots to ends for volume. Spray KMS Hair Play Sea Salt Spray into roots for extra hold. Rough-dry hair until it is only slightly damp, lifting hair at the roots with your fingers to create volume.

Step: Using a small ceramic round brush, lift the hair up and away from the scalp, place the ends around the brush and roll in from the ends toward the scalp to create curl. After the section is completely dry, use a pincurl clip to hold the coil in place while it cools. Spray each curl with KMS Hair Stay Medium Hold Hair Spray.

Step: When all ringlets have cooled, take out clips and use your fingers to slightly separate curls and refine the shape. Mist again with KMS Hair Stay Medium Hold Hair Spray.

Victoria's Secret Model Rosie Huntington's Soft Curls

English actress and model, Rosie Huntington-Whitely sounds as posh as they come. And this elegant and stylishly luxurious mass of center-parted blonde waves is an aristocrat of shape and form. Playfully quaint, full of allure, the tumbling wave cascade is a seventies throwback, yet retains its modernity with a loose, whimsical attitude. Golden blonde is a perfect match for a fair complexion and blue eyes.

Step: Towel dry hair to damp and create a center-part. Step: Generously apply KMS FreeShape Hot Flex Spray which will aid in a long lasting style and protect from heat damage. Step: Starting a few inches off of the root (so the style is straight at the roots and then tumbles into waves) and curl hair with mid-size curling iron. Step: Allow to cool. Blast curls with a blowdryer and brush them into a softer shape, creating romantic, tumbling waves. Step: Mist finished look with KMS Hair Play Dry Touch Up to add texture and lighly spritz with KMS Hair Stay Medium Hold Hairspray. Style Tips Stephan Lattouf - Lattouf Hair & Day Spa
